April Ross
April Ross has won more than one medal at the Olympics. She is one of a few female players of beach volleyball who have achieved this feat. Alix Klineman, taking part for the very first time at Tokyo's Olympic Games, will try to earn her third medal. Ross's aim is to get her first Olympic Gold. At 39, this could be Ross' last opportunity to claim the gold medal at an Olympics. She's certain that the top prizes can be achieved. Ross declared on NBC Boston: "If we do our best and even If we play our best I believe we can win the gold medal." Then I will also take the chance to have luck. Ross born August 22nd, 1982 in Costa Mesa California. She lived there with her family. Ross competed in many sports while attending Newport Harbor High School. She played basketball and ran the track as well as her volleyball skills in the indoors as a pre-collegiate athlete. She stood out however during this game. When she played in her time at the high school level as per her college biography she played as an outside-hitter, middle blocker and setter. Her achievements were rewarded when she was named 1999 Gatorade's Circle Of Champions National Players of the Year. Her skills in volleyball earned her an Orange County Athlete of the Year award in 2000. Ross and Klineman might have begun working together at the beginning of 2017, but Ross had already been a seasoned player at the beach before they teamed up. Actually Ross has won a number of major tournaments in her career along with her two teammates. One of them is a volleyball legend. Ross teamed up along with Jennifer Kessy from 2007-2013, and she also served as Klineman's coach. Together, Kessy Ross was a force in the world circuit, winning the world championship in 2009. This duo went through to take home a silver medal at the 2012 Olympic Games at London. Misty May, Kerri Walsh and Kerri Jennings were the team to beat for the gold. Ross Jennings took over for May-Treanor as she left the team. They won the bronze medal in beach volleyball at Rio Olympics 2016. Ross began her college time with the Trojans at USC in high school. It was a long time before Ross made her debut on the sand and turned professional. Her time at USC was impressive. In 2000, she was named Pac-10 Freshman as well as NCAA Freshman Of The Year. She was also named an All-American. The Trojans could also make it to the Final Four with her help. During her sophomore year she was devastated by a personal loss but still managed to repeat as an All-American. In her final two seasons with the Trojans, she helped them to win two consecutive titles. The individual accomplishments of her have established her place as a legendary volleyball player. She won the Honda Sports Award 2003-04 for the nation's best female collegiate player. Ross who was a USC international relations student, was a renowned volleyball player. Margie Ross never saw her daughter make it to the top of beach volleyball. Ross's mother passed away from cancer of the breast in 2001. Ross had just become sophomore at USC. She is devoted to her mother who died. Margie has inspired her both in her personal life and at the beach.
