Reese Witherspoon took her career seriously after enrolling first at Stanford University. Early successes in the field of critical success included performances in films like Pleasantville and Election but it was her performance as Elle Woods in the box office hit Legally Blonde that marked a turning point for her career. Witherspoon received an Academy Award, in 2005 for her performance in Walk the Line. In 2003 she debuted as a film star in The Invisible Man. Following that, she was on a variety of TV shows like House of Lies Whitney or Better Call Saul. She also appeared in The Dictator as well as The Incredible Burt Wonderstone. In addition to her acting profession, she's an experienced painter who has shown her work in a number of galleries.
